Founder's Circle

The Pembroke Petawawa District Community Foundation is pleased to announce the creation of their inaugural Founder's Circle as a key step to securing funds to benefit the local community. The Founder's Circle represents 25 individuals or groups that donated or pledged to donate a total of $5,000 over a five-year term.

Foundation Board of Directors Management Fund

This fund is contributed to by the Foundation's Board of Directors individuals involved include: Peggy Williams, Russ Holmberg, Matt Bradley, Fred Blackstein, Corry Chow, Brian Mulvihill, Dave Fisher, Shane Lloyd, Linda Mohns, Elizabeth Radley-Walters, Yves Roy, Hilary Moss.

United Way of Renfrew County

This fund was created by the United Way to assist in generating funds to support the mandate of their organization.

Mary Hill

An individual contribution for the benefit of the Foundation's general fund. Mary was a long-time business owner of Johnston & Mackie Insurance and a founding member of the Foundation.

Jim Noble

An individual contribution for the benefit of the Foundation's general fund.

Bruce Harle

An individual contribution for the benefit of the Foundation's general fund. Bruce is the owner of a dentistry practice in Pembroke.

Dave Chow

An individual contribution for the benefit of the Foundation's general fund. Dave was born and raised in Petawawa and supports charitable efforts in his hometown.

Troy Mohns

An individual contribution for the benefit of the Foundation's general fund. Troy was born and raised in Petawawa and supports charitable efforts in his hometown.

Jason Blaine

Local country music star Jason Blaine established a fund in 2013 to support his charitable causes in the area. He raises funds through an annual concert and golf tournament held locally.

Damien & Tammy McCarthy

An individual contribution for the benefit of the Foundation's general fund. Damien and Tammy are the owners of GearHeads in Petawawa.

Valley Employee & Family Assistance Program (Valley EFAP)

Valley EFAP established the Mental Health Fund of Renfrew County in 2015 to support mental health awareness and services in the region. The fund is open to general donations and funds raised will support individuals who can benefit from mental health services.

Yves & Beverly Roy

An individual contribution for the benefit of the Foundation's general fund to help with administration costs. Yves is the owner of Roy & Associates, and is also a member of the Board of Directors.

Bereaved Families of Ontario

The Bereaved Families organization provided services in the area for many years. When their long-term plans changed they decided to contribute their reserves to the Foundation.

100 Women

The 100 Women involves 100 women contributing $100 annually. The initiative provides $5,000 to an endowment fund and $5,000 to be distributed by the Foundation in support of women. The fund is open to general donations.
