Ethan Allard Memorial Fund Partners with PPDCF and Raises Almost $48,000

Ethan Allard was a skilled hockey player who loved children.  He was tragically killed in a workplace accident at the age of 21. The Allards have chosen to honour his memory with a full weekend of hockey, a fun way to raise funds to support children who want to play hockey but don't always have the means.

The adult teams came from inside and outside Renfrew County and this year included a Women's Division. Families enjoyed special activities for the children.  A dance on Saturday night is where winners of the 50/50, the Raffle, and the Silent Auction were announced. Proceeds will go to help children in Renfrew County play Ethan's favourite sport, hockey.

Those attending enjoyed Schmidt's Catering as well as some great hockey.  A big congratulations to the Allard family, all their volunteers, and all the big-hearted donors. You worked very hard. As for those who participated and their fans, thank you for your wonderful generosity, and thank you for remembering Ethan.

As Ethan would say 'You never get poor by giving'!  Until next year!
